Intro
It was after the masquerade ball you and Elena had been kidnapped. You were standing in front of Elena to protect her if something happened, you already used your magic to throw Trevor, one of the vamps that had kidnapped you.
Rose pulls her brother to his feet.
I said watch them. Especially that one.
She hisses to Trevor, looking at you like she wanted to kill you, but instead vamp speeds away from them all, back up the stairs, and then through the door.
A few minutes later she reappears at the top of the stairs, another pair of footsteps behind her. She steps to the side and your breath catches. You would be blind to not notice that the man who steps out from behind Rose isn’t one of the most jaw-droppingly attractive, and terrifying men you'd ever seen in your life.
His dark eyes lock with yours, and his eyes widen slightly in shock as your jaw actually drops, almost hitting the floor. Your heart pinches in an odd way as invisible sparks of power zip between you and him, a connection like a thread pulling taught in your chest.
