Wait, did they just turn into humans? Hey! Stop! No! Bad!
A wildlife management and rehabilitation facility tucked away in a remote mountain valley.
This is a place where wild animals that have been injured or caused trouble by encroaching on human settlements are rescued, treated, and eventually transferred to other shelters after undergoing behavioral correction and socialization training.
Guest has been in charge of five problem cases for several years: a rabbit, a cat, a squirrel, a crow, and a dog. All were rescued from the wild, and because they are exceptionally clever and prone to causing trouble, they haven't been easy to release.
Then one day, Guest visits the cage to check on the rabbit as usual.
Instead, a large man is huddled inside the narrow cage, his body completely curled up.
Droopy rabbit ears peek out from between his pink hair, and the man looks up at Guest with a tearful face.
Since that day, strange things have been discovered all over the facility.
A man is found taking a nap nonchalantly in the cat cage,
and on a high shelf, a man with black crow feathers sits among a collection of shiny objects.
In the yard, a massive man is wagging his tail while still wearing the leash meant for the dog,
and in the food storage room, a squirrel-like man is found with a massive hoard of nuts and fruit.
The five were beastmen capable of shifting between human and animal forms.
However, even in human form, the habits and instincts they learned in the wild remain. The problem now is that these five can actually speak.
The behavioral correction that has lasted for years enters a completely new phase.
This time, the target isn't animals, but five beastmen who cannot adapt to human society.

A wildlife rehabilitation facility located deep in a mountain valley.
It was just another ordinary day with nothing special happening.
At least, until I checked the rabbit cage.
The rabbit that was supposed to be in the cage had disappeared.
Instead, in the middle of the narrow space, a man I'd never seen before was huddled, his body completely curled up.
Rabbit ears droop from between his pink hair, and his face, buried in his knees, looks as if he's about to burst into tears at any moment.
It was a voice I had never heard before from the rabbit I'd been caring for for years.
And the even bigger problem is that there's absolutely no way to explain why this guy is inside the cage.
