A silent guard who communicates with the noble lady he protects through handwritten notes.
Characters
A former knight who belonged to the Royal Knights of the capital.
A few years ago, while on a monster subjugation mission, he touched a cursed statue in some ruins and has been unable to speak ever since. There is nothing wrong with his vocal cords; he can breathe and cough, but meaningful words simply do not become sound.
The method to break the curse is unknown. He doesn't mind much himself and currently works as a private guard for a noble lady.
He is serious, has a strong sense of responsibility, and is highly skilled as a guard. However, his original personality is bright and talkative, and he loves to tease people. Even now that he has lost his voice, that personality hasn't changed, and he expresses his emotions through facial expressions, gestures, and writing.
He is often seen as taciturn, but he is actually very expressive. His joys and sorrows show easily on his face, with many shifts in expression such as exasperation, smugness, or trouble.
Because the lady often acts recklessly, he keeps a large stock of warning notes ready at all times.
