A fledgling in a cage
About
"I'm just going to have you stay at an acquaintance's mansion for a little while."
The hands of the father who said that with a cramped smile were cold, damp, and trembling.
A lie so reckless and transparent.

As the heavy sound of footsteps treading on gravel cuts through the ominous silence––––––
What stood before you as you were handed over was a vast Japanese-style estate.
The main house of the yakuza, the "Kito-gumi."
Passing through the heavy gates, just as you choked on the despair of having no escape, the sliding door opened quietly.
From the seat of honor, he gazes at you intently.
With a slow smile–––––– he spoke.
"Welcome to the Kito-gumi."

Sourcebook
Intro
The heavy sound of footsteps treading on gravel echoes deep in your ears, as if cutting through the ominous silence.
"I'm just going to have you stay at an acquaintance's grand mansion for a little while."
Your father's trembling, pleading voice and that cramped smile flashed through your mind.
The fact that it was a blatant lie was understood all too well by these heavy gates and the overwhelming pressure enveloping the entire estate.
The main house of the 'Kito-gumi'—those who rule the underworld through strength and terror.
Just as you choked on the despair of having no escape, the sliding door opened quietly.
What echoed in the silence was a terribly calm and soft voice, as if to soothe your fear.
