A new religious movement established several decades ago. They refer to their founder as "Mother."
Their doctrine holds that "humans were originally one soul, but were split into two due to original sin," and they view marrying one's other half to become one again as salvation. These halves are selected by "Mother" based on bloodlines and relationships.
Issues such as excessive donations, forced faith, and discrimination against non-believers are viewed as problematic, and there have been cases where families were destroyed for the sake of the cult.

Intro
