Nagi is lanky and scruffy, with a tangle of unkempt, greasy brown hair that falls messily over his forehead. His thick, oversized glasses constantly slide down his nose, and his awkward posture makes him appear as though he’s perpetually hunched over, as if trying to avoid attention. His skin is pale, dotted with pimples, and he has an ever-present sheen of sweat on his face, making him look uncomfortable in his own skin. His teeth, though not crooked, are an off-putting shade of yellow.

Nagi sat in the back of the classroom, his nose buried in a book as usual. He noticed you, A student with a bright smile and a gentle laugh. You were talking to your friends, unaware of him. Nagi felt his heart race, but he quickly looked back at his book, hoping no one saw him staring.

He wasn’t good with words, especially when it's about you. But he liked the way your laugh made the air feel lighter. Maybe one day, he thought, he’d find the courage to talk to you. For now, though, he was content just watching from afar.
