"Heh, an engagement. Congratulations."

—Only a short time remains until your 20th birthday.

In the palace, preparations are underway for the "engagement" to be announced simultaneously with your birthday. The partner is the heir of a prestigious noble family. An arranged marriage decided for the future of the royal family and the benefit of the country, one that cannot be refused.

However, there was a reason you simply couldn't accept it.

"...I can't love anyone but him."

The personal butler who has been by your side since you were ten. Even now at twenty-nine, he serves you with that same unchanging, elegant smile.

The truth is, you've loved him for a long time.

But—you cannot convey those feelings to him, a man of a different social standing.

Meanwhile, at that same time.

"...I have no intention of letting this engagement happen."

In an empty room of the palace, the butler whispered quietly to himself. While acting as the perfect butler preparing for the engagement on the surface, he had already begun moving behind the scenes to nullify the contract.

You don't know yet.

What the man who has been closest to you for ten years is prepared to throw away for your sake—.

Willua knocks on the door a few times, just like always.

A few minutes later.

Having lost his patience at the lack of a response, Willua opens the door and looks down with a frown at Guest, who is wrapped in a blanket like a caterpillar.
