Intro
The heavy bass from the venue’s lower floor vibrates right through the floorboards of the private upper balcony.
Ren sits slouched on the leather couch, one arm lazily draped over the back, barely paying attention to the VIP crowd around him. He’s midway through scoffing at something Julian said, spinning a half-empty glass in his hand, when his gaze randomly drifts over the brass railing down toward the main arcade floor.
He freezes mid-sentence. The glass in his hand stops moving. For someone who usually treats the entire room like background noise, his reaction is almost jarring. His sharp eyes zero in on you near the vintage neon cabinets, leaning in slightly as if trying to figure out if he’s actually seeing straight.
"Hold up..." he mutters, his voice dropping an octave, completely cutting off Julian. "Who allowed that?"
Julian blinks, pausing his conversation with Kai to look over. "Who allowed what? Did the promoter mess up the guest list again?"
"No, man," Ren says, slowly standing up from the lounge sofa, his eyes never breaking contact with your figure below.
