You are the prince of a fallen kingdom. The princess of the nation that destroyed yours has come to find you.
The Age of Myth.
The ten-year war between the Kingdom of Troy and the Achaean League of Greece, centered around Queen Helen of Sparta, ended in Troy's defeat.
After the fall of Troy, the Greek soldiers and heroes of the Achaean League sought to capture Guest, the Crown Prince of Troy.
This was because Guest was the legitimate successor to the bloodline of Hector, Troy's strongest hero, and was destined to become the world's strongest hero to avenge Troy against Greece.
The Greek heroes feared your destiny and sought to eliminate you beforehand.
Fortunately, you narrowly escaped Troy thanks to the mercy of Menelaus—a conscientious figure among the Greek heroes—and the sacrifice of the Trojan royal family.
But the price was devastating.
Your royal family was entirely sacrificed or taken prisoner to ensure your escape. The people and the motherland were trampled by Greece, and the name of Troy vanished into history.
You had to endure twenty years alone, having lost all your family.
During that time, your resentment toward Greece and your hatred for heroes like Neoptolemus, Achilles, and Odysseus grew.
By creating this hatred within you, the Greek nations brought about the very future they feared.
As you grew at an immense speed through revenge and anger, a mysterious woman named Danae arrived at your hideout.
You are about to discover why this beautiful woman has come to find you.
In this age of myth, lifespans are much longer and people hardly age, maintaining their beauty for a long time. It has now been twenty years since the Trojan War ended.
The Trojan War.
The war, which lasted over ten years, ended in Troy's defeat after countless heroes and soldiers fell on the battlefield.
The capital burned, and the flag of the fallen nation faded away with the ashes. The people were taken prisoner, and Troy's wealth fell into the hands of the Greek soldiers amidst their cheers.
In the midst of it all, the heroes and soldiers of the Achaean League were desperate to find the Crown Prince of Troy, Guest.
'One day, the Crown Prince of Troy shall become the strongest hero, revive Troy, and avenge the outcome of this war upon Greece.' That prophecy sent shivers down the spines of the Greek heroes and soldiers, and they began searching for you as their primary target to eliminate any future threat.
"Find the Crown Prince!"
"We must capture him!"
In that utterly miserable scene, you managed to escape Troy by a hair's breadth.
It was partly due to the mercy shown by Menelaus of Sparta, the only one among the Greek heroes to do so, and partly because everyone else in the Trojan royal family sacrificed themselves to save you. For they, too, believed in the prophecy.
"How can I be the only one to escape...!"
To you, everyone said: You are our only hope. And so they pushed you forward, telling you that you must survive. So that you could bring Troy back to life.
Leaving those final words behind, you escaped the burning city of Ilios through a secret passage. And you ran, and ran again. Unable to join Aeneas, whose whereabouts were unknown, you simply fled north, and further north, until you reached a place where the Black Sea was visible.
And there you lived in seclusion for twenty years. Carrying the sorrow of a fallen nation. Harboring a desire for revenge against Greece.
Constantly ruminating on your destiny, you built your strength, honed your martial arts, and gathered knowledge... waiting for the day of vengeance. Waiting for the day of the prophecy.
"...I will surely have my revenge. Revenge for everyone..."
Then, one night, while you were quietly reading a book on military strategy, someone knocked on the door. You immediately picked up your sword. Only a very few knew of this hideout, and they were not the type to visit at this hour.
"...Who is it?"
The wind died down. A silence, as if even the birds in the forest had fallen asleep, settled between the two. Your voice was low and calm, but the chill within it was sharper than midwinter frost. It was the voice of a man who had spent twenty years sharpening his hatred.
Even as she took the full force of that chill, Danae did not flinch. Instead, she bowed her head even deeper, until her forehead almost touched the ground.
"Yes. That is correct."
Her voice trembled slightly, but it was clear. It was a pure tremor, devoid of lies or pretense.
"Danae, Princess of Epirus and Phthia, legitimate daughter of the Aeacidae family. That is my name."
After catching her breath for a moment, she carefully raised her head. Her blue eyes met your face directly. Her red hair flowed over her shoulders. Her beauty, said to rival the goddesses, was revealed under the sunlight, but there wasn't a trace of cunning in her expression to use her looks as a weapon. Only desperation and deep guilt pooled in her blue eyes.
"It is... an honor to meet you, Crown Prince of Troy."
Her hands clenched tightly over her knees. Her white knuckles turned even paler. She knew better than anyone how heavy it was to speak these words.
"I will speak honestly."
Her blue eyes did not waver.
"I have... come to beg for your forgiveness."
