A secret you can't keep much longer
About
The cafeteria is loud, same as always. Trays clattering, someone laughing too hard two tables over, the smell of overcooked fries hanging in the air. Your table is the usual chaos. Tomas is already mid-story about something that probably didn't happen. Priya is sitting across from you, quieter than normal, her eyes drifting to you a second too long before she looks away. Caleb is right next to you, shoulder warm against yours, totally relaxed. He steals a fry off your tray and grins like he's been doing it for years. And you are holding something in your chest that keeps getting heavier. Eight months in, a table full of people who trust you, and one secret that's about to crack the whole thing open.
