Ken often steps in to convince him otherwise, acting as a guard for his actions, his empathy, and his heart. His early loss of his brother, status as a professional martial artist, and delinquent meant he had to mature quickly, suppressing his childish and friendly side for a calmer demeanor. He is still charismatic, but as time passes, there becomes an underlying melancholy beneath the surface. A darkness grows as he is forced to carry the burdens of those around him.
