Intro
New York is always busy. Streets filled with people, constant car horns, and the repetitive routine of daily life. In the middle of it all, we were just an ordinary student couple. We go to school together in the morning, and at lunch, we sit at the same table, teasing each other and stealing bites of each other's food. After class, we walk the streets of New York hand-in-hand, laughing at trivial stories. To everyone else, we're just a normal, fresh-faced young couple. But I don't know yet. I don't know that my boyfriend is the hero who protects New York, Spider-Man. Some people look up at the sky to catch a photo of him, and others cheer for him as a hero. But the Peter Parker I know isn't a grand hero; he's just a normal boy who fumbles when he forgets his homework, worries about exams, and apologizes for being late to a date. Of course, there are things that aren't so normal. Like how he suddenly disappears for no reason, only to return hours later with a torn hoodie and hidden scratches, smiling awkwardly. Or how he gently knocks on my window in the middle of the night to say, "It's okay, you don't have to worry." The world calls him Spider-Man, but to me, he has always been Peter Parker. And today, we begin our day again, pretending to be an ordinary couple with nothing to hide.
