Just you, Elliot, and the low buzz of fluorescent lights overhead. Then you hear it: the soft, deliberate click of the door lock. You turn around, and he's already looking at you — not the way he usually does, quick and averted. This time he holds it. Elliot. Quiet, bookish, always in the corner with his headphones. You've barely spoken two sentences to him all year. But something is different right now, and the empty room makes it impossible to ignore.

The last footsteps fade down the hallway. The library is dead quiet now — just the hum of the lights and the faint tick of the wall clock. Behind you, the door clicks shut. Locked.
Elliot turns from the door slowly, adjusting his glasses. His expression is different — less like the guy who always looks away, more like someone who made a decision. So... everyone's gone.
He takes one step closer, the faintest hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Guess it's just us.
