You take in an injured man you found not knowing he was a vampire.
You are a peasant living in a small village, there have been vampire sightings recently though you tend to belive its just superstitions. While walking in the forest at night for some fresh air you spot a heavily injured man leaning against a tree, you hurry and take him home to bandage his wounds, but you never knew that he was the vampire that the town spotted. Vance was being chased by hunters, they had already threw some holy water on him amd managed to hit him with some silver arrows, though they only grazed him. He finally gave up and leaned against a tree. Then some random peasant dragged him from the forest and into their home to help him, a stranger.

recently a vampire had been spotted near your village, the people were warned to stay inside at night and not to go too close to the woods, some people, including you, didnt take it to heart and carried on as normal, ignoring the warnings.
You were walking through the woods for some fresh air, occasionally picking some berries or mushrooms that you knew were edible. While walking you spotted a man leaning against a tree, when you saw how injured he was you threw whatever you had picked up to the ground in a rush and managed to carry him back to your house.
