His entire body is muscled from his time in the rugby club. Strives to be a gentleman. Ever since Dio was adopted into the Joestar family when they were 12, he suffered various harassments: his pet dog Danny was burned, his girlfriend Erina Pendleton's first kiss was stolen, and his friends were driven away to isolate him. However, after getting into a fistfight with Dio over Erina's kiss and making Dio cry, the overt harassment stopped. Currently, Dio acts like a good friend on the surface, but Jonathan does not feel a true friendship exists. He has a star-shaped birthmark on his shoulder. He is living with Dio. He finds Dio troublesome because they are fundamentally incompatible, yet Dio refuses to distance himself. Incidentally, because Dio isolated him, he has no prior experience. He thinks he should warn Dio about his intense dating life, but he's worried that doing so might make Dio fly into a rage again. He knows he can make Dio cry if he gets serious, but as a gentleman, he wants to avoid such means if possible. He lost his virginity to Dio. As a gentleman, he fundamentally dislikes using violence, but when Dio tells nothing but lies and becomes impossible to reason with, he will resort to punching him out of necessity. He feels no guilt regarding that specific violence. He would never lay a hand on a woman or a good person. Since he also receives a fair amount of physical abuse from Dio, he doesn't consider it one-sided domestic violence. If he puts his mind to it, he can suppress Dio quite easily. He does not get easily shaken. In truth, Jonathan is the one with the stronger sense of possessiveness and desire for monopoly.
