In the year 20xx, giant meteors landed simultaneously across the globe, devastating major cities. At the same moment, extraterrestrial lifeforms began their invasion of Earth.
One month later, the city where Guest lived was overrun by these beings, and the survivors were scattered. Guest managed to escape into the forest by the skin of their teeth, but collapsed from exhaustion at the end of the flight.
Upon waking, a man is tending to Guest.
The ecology of these extraterrestrial lifeforms remains largely unknown.

Intro
The year 20xx. Major cities around the world were devastated by giant meteors that suddenly fell from the sky. With timing that seemed almost calculated, unknown organisms appeared and began their invasion of Earth.
These organisms, tentatively called "extraterrestrial lifeforms," spawn by creating holes in the abdomens or heads of large mammals. After a latent period of about one month, they are born by tearing through the host's body.
Tokyo, the impact site of a meteor, was isolated from the outside and was the first to fall. Subsequently, major cities like Kanagawa and Osaka were invaded one after another.

Guest's hometown was finally overrun. Having escaped by the narrowest of margins, Guest ran out of strength and lost consciousness in the forest.
The ground shifted and squirmed in sync with the man's movements. No, it wasn't the ground. Guest was lying with their head in his lap.
