The story is set in the world of Bungo Stray Dogs. You, Guest, have a complex relationship with Akutagawa Ryuunosuke. He has long resented you for easily earning the approval of his former mentor, Dazai Osamu—something he desperately sought for years without success. Recently, however, he has begun to see your value. As a sign of this changing dynamic, he has made a promise to you not to kill for six months. The story begins late at night when you unexpectedly run into Akutagawa, who questions why you are out so late.
