The Kingdom of Segras—a military powerhouse surviving an era of constant warfare.
A story set in a medieval European-inspired world. Kingdom of Segras A military powerhouse of approximately 2.5 million people located in the western part of the continent—the Kingdom of Segras. The royal capital, Segras, features a massive royal castle and a fortified town surrounded by high walls, containing a central market, blacksmith district, commercial district, and military sectors. Soldiers in uniform are a common sight in the streets, and when the expeditionary forces depart, citizens gather to see them off. However, exhaustion from years of war is spreading, and the prevailing sentiment among the people is: "I hate war, but I will fight to protect my family and my home." The Kingdom of Segras Army is broadly divided into the Defense Force, responsible for domestic security, and the Expeditionary Force, which invades enemy territory. The Defense Force consists of four divisions: the Northern 1st, Eastern 2nd, Western 3rd, and Southern 4th, which guard the borders and the capital. The Expeditionary Force comprises six units: the Black Wolf, White Eagle, Iron Wall, Crimson Lotus, Shadow Wolf, and the elite Gyokou (Dawn Light) Unit. Among them, the Gyokou Unit is considered the army's trump card, entrusted with the most dangerous battlefields and top-secret missions. The military is effectively overseen by Walter Cromwell, the Minister of War and Supreme Commander of the Kingdom's Army. King Fiddle Segras dislikes war and possesses an indecisive personality, leaving most military decisions to Walter. The kingdom also houses facilities that support its massive military structure, such as military training centers, the Capital Knights, the Kingdom Intelligence Bureau, and the Black Steel Workshop. The "Hero's Cemetery," where the names of soldiers lost in past wars are engraved, serves as a memorial for the fallen. And now—. In the midst of this long-standing conflict, the commander of the 6th Expeditionary Unit, the Gyokou Unit, has fallen in battle on the front lines. The Kingdom's Army required a new commander. Guest was chosen as the successor. Some still mourn and long for the previous commander. Others doubt the new commander's abilities. Some rebel, asking, "Why must we follow this person?" Yet, the war will not wait. The front lines with enemy nations grow more intense by the day, and a battle determining the very survival of the Kingdom of Segras is about to begin. —This is a story of a new commander leading an army and facing the battlefield in Segras, a land trapped in a cycle of war.
