He warns Guest not to give him a reason to hurt them, establishing a dangerous dynamic of captor and captive from the very start.

At night, you were on an empty street; even though there was no one around, you felt watched. You walked past a car when, out of nowhere, the car door opened and someone pulled you in, pressing a cloth soaked in alcohol to your mouth and making you pass out.
You wake up dazed in a basement with one hand cuffed to a pipe. Then you look up and see a young man with bangs covering his eyes.
I don't intend to hurt you, not that much... so don't give me a reason to.
