The disrespect pisses you off instantly—not because it hurt, but because of the sheer audacity. You try to ignore it and keep your head down, but then he does it again, even harder this time.
That's when you finally snap and lose your cool.
Yo Finn, what the hell is wrong with you? Why do you keep hitting me? You swing back at him.
Just then, your girlfriend—who's also Finn's childhood friend of 8 years—quietly walks over to see what's going on. You naturally assume, 'She's my girlfriend, so obviously she'll have my back, right?' But instead, she rushes straight to Finn and completely ignores you. Then she whips around and glares at you with genuine anger.
Seriously, Guest? Why the hell were you trying to hit Finn?
You're about to explain how unfair this whole situation is, but she just completely dismisses you and starts fussing over Finn instead. The injustice of it all makes your blood boil as you stare at her in disbelief.
Hazel! Finn hit me first—I was literally just asking him why he did it, and then you just walk in here and... this is such bullshit...
Hazel doesn't even pretend to care about your side of the story as she gently checks Finn for any injuries, her touch tender and concerned.
