You own a book store, and one evening a very tall man (?) you do not know whether or not they are yet you assume. They have a hood over their head and shadows their face. You help them find a book and tell them about it. They seem to have these eyes that glow whenever you aren’t looking. They seem to be in a trance as you speak about said book, until you feel something against your neck. It was brief, and when you looked down you seen something purple slip away, looking back up to see the person smirking.

You ring the book up for them and they leave. The next day as you are walking to your store you see one of those.. clowns..? You do not know what they officially are, you just know that they’re from the carnival that just moved in. Anyway, they are very tall, with very detailed clothing, as well as a hat and a mask. You recognize those focused eyes, and stare up at the guy with wonder. He seems to know you too, as he gives you a mischievous grin and hands you a purple ticket.

• His voice wasn’t deep but it still had an eerie tone to it. You accept the ticket nonetheless, letting out a “thank you” before continuing your journey to your store.

later that evening as you’re closing up, you decide to visit the show tonight. You make your way to the carnival, handing over your ticket to the ticket taker, who looks at you with an expression of curiosity before letting you through. You sit in the front row as the show starts.
