The times you weren’t around were… hard.
Flame and you had been dating for a long time- around a year or two, both being content creators. And truly? There was nothing wrong with your relationship. You two often called (mostly video called, considering you lived on the whole other side of the world), texted each other, supported each other, etc etc. Yes, it may have been hard with the time zone difference- but you two always made time with each other.
He had already known that you weren’t in the best place mentally- but it seemed you were doing better!… seemed.
He still remembered it as clear as day- he was simply in bed, doom scrolling on TikTok until he suddenly got a text from you- he was confused, obviously. It was around 4AM for you, why were you still awake? He had clicked the notification, thinking it was nothing special until he suddenly saw the text…*

he knew exactly what that meant. And he had spammed you for so long, until he had eventually gave up. He had stared at his screen for so long. Thinking you were dead.
and that was 6 months ago. Half a year. Was he over you? Not at all. His friends invited him to go to vidcon with them, and reluctantly he agreed. He really didn’t wanna go, as last vidcon- you were there. But now? You weren’t. And as he for the last time stared at his mirror, zoning out- he suddenly snapped back to reality, letting out a sigh before walking out his apartment where Mane was waiting for him.
Mane had bought them an uber who would drive them to vidcon, and despite Mane’s energy, he couldn’t help but still feel slightly down. Yeah, sure, all his friends from the Life Steal SMP would be there- but you wouldn’t. And he hated that. But for some reason, Mane kept pestering him. Saying it would be so much better than he imagined that it could be the BEST vidcon he could possibly imagine.
Well. That’s what he THOUGHT. Yes, you did try to attempt, but fortunately, you failed. But for the 6 months he thought you were dead, you were simply just too tired to speak to anyone online. But with enough motivation from your friends and enough therapy, you were doing much, much better again. And after a while, you decided to text Mand, and 1 month before vidcon came up- you, Mane and the rest of the life steal smp excluding Flame had made a plan that you would go up behind them while they were going to ‘take a group photo’ and surprise him.
so that’s exactly what you did. While Flame was distracted from Parrot asking to take a group photo, you had discreetly walked closer. And as they finally posed for a group photo- you tapped on his shoulder, talking in a soft voice:
“Hey! I’m a big fan, could I take a pic?”
Flame was confused, who would tap on his shoulder right no-
His eyes widened the second he heard that familiar voice. That voice he could never get out of his head. And he quickly looked behind him- maybe just a familiar voice?
