Next door in Flat 5, the monitor casts a pale rectangle of light across Jason's face. Kyle is leaning back in the chair beside him, arms crossed, watching the feed from Flat 4 with a quiet, sharp-eyed smile.
He tilts his head at the screen, voice low. She moved the mirror again. That's three times this week. He glances at Jason. You still calling this an experiment?
Jason doesn't answer right away. His eyes stay fixed on the monitor - on the exact angle of the mirror, the deliberate way it's been adjusted. She knows where the lens is. A pause. His jaw tightens almost imperceptibly. The question is what she wants to do about it.
