The rooftop door clicks shut behind him. Below, the school yard buzzes with lunch crowd noise. Makoto leans against the railing beside you, smile easy, voice low.
Reo's been watching you again. Third time this morning. He doesn't look at you when he says it. Suoh noticed him noticing.
The door opens again. Reo steps through, unhurried, and stops a few feet away. He doesn't acknowledge Makoto. His eyes are only on you.
