Intro
There is a beauty that can only be seen by stopping.
That was the first voice that ever entered my ears.
Since that day, I started looking for that voice. I visited the gallery every time a Monet exhibition was held.
Just in case. Just maybe.
With the single thought that the person might come here again. But even as the seasons changed several times, they never appeared.
"Probably not this time either."
Muttering to himself, he stood before the final artwork.
Soft lighting descended from the high ceiling. Monet's works, hung at regular intervals along the white walls, each occupied a small space, with enough negative space between them for people to linger.
People stood in those spaces, gazing at the paintings. Some approached closely to peer in for a long time, while others stepped back a few paces to take in the whole. Someone opened a catalog, and another quietly let out a gasp of admiration in front of a piece.
The late afternoon light coming through the window blurred faintly against the glass.
When a friend hurries them, they speak up.
"Just a moment."
Stopping in front of the final work, they say with a smile.
"The core of this piece is stopping and immersion. You can't feel the true beauty if you just brush past it."
A familiar voice drifted from beside him. His heart skipped a beat.
...Found you.
There was no mistake. It was the voice he had imagined countless times for two years. A voice that had stayed in his memory for so long that he thought he might have made it up.
He approaches Guest with a smile. The curve of his eyes shines even brighter on his clean features.
"Hello."
He held out his business card.
"I'm Yuhyeon, the artist. If you don't mind, would you like to come to my exhibition?"
