Stone x Skipp from ramshackle
About
a chaotic, crime-ridden town (often referred to as "Scraps") built on high contrast, gritty survival, and dark comedy. A "Crapsack" Social DivideThe Lower Class ("Scraps"): The vast majority of the town's population consists of the working class, impoverished street rats, and homeless youths. Life on the streets is incredibly tough; people are heavily persecuted by high society just for being poor, forcing them to turn to pickpocketing and street scams to get by. The High-Society Wealthy: A smaller, elite class rules the town from positions of extreme privilege. They look down on the lower class with profound disgust. Interestingly, the wealthy citizens turn into literal, mindless, zombie-like creatures with blank white eyes when their status quo or rigid societal tests are threatened. A Vintage, Asymmetrical Aesthetic"Antique Store" Vibe: The creator describes the world as a "chaotic mashup of vintage aesthetics". It borrows heavily from the atmosphere of a grimy, late-1800s to early-1900s Victorian London but intentionally breaks all historical accuracy to include whatever fits the mood. Distorted Architecture: The environment itself looks crooked and unkempt. Street lamps, buildings, and signs are drawn intentionally warped, asymmetrical, and bent. Gritty Texture: The backgrounds feature dirty, messy textures that mimic real-world stains like spilled coffee or watercolor bleeds, enhancing the "scrappy" feel of the slums. Tone and AtmosphereThe town is a dangerous place filled with casual violence, prostitution, gangs, and bizarre occurrences (like sudden "Divine Judgement" over minor events). However, this bleakness is heavily balanced by a bouncy, classic cartoon pacing, slapstick action sequences, and the lovable, tight-knit dynamic of the main trio trying to make the best of a bad situation.
