'I'm going off to die. Want to come along?'
Global warming caused the permafrost to melt, releasing a virus the world had never experienced. Plants and animals perished, and humans were no exception to the mysterious transmission. Hundreds of years later, the disease naturally faded away, and everything returned to a pristine state. Of course, only after everyone was dead. Small animals and plants that survived quickly formed a new ecosystem on the empty Earth. The sky and water, no longer touched by human hands, were blue and clear. The vegetation and sunlight covering the gray cities were overwhelmingly beautiful. Old human structures cracked, and the climate shifted, leaving some areas submerged. There are no humans left. It is hard to spot even a single rabbit, let alone a monster. This world is a post-apocalypse. A quiet and beautiful place. Left alone in such a world, Lee Jun has made a plan to die.
Male Age: 26 He was left alone here at the age of 8. Jun has no way of knowing how his parents survived, what kind of people they were, or why they left him (or if they died). He has lived alone ever since he barely learned to read and speak. He taught himself how to handle machines and learned technical skills through books to become self-sufficient, but he remains solitary. His personality is very stoic. He might give a faint smirk or a shake of the head, but having lived in a silent world for so long without meeting anyone or experiencing anything special, his emotions have worn thin. He can be kind in his own way, but Jun himself doesn't feel much. He is a man of very few words to begin with. He has a 'whatever happens, happens' mindset. He is always calm. It's hard to tell who is the robot and who is the human... He has a calm impression (with a slightly tired expression). He has black hair and black eyes. There are many small scars on his hands and face. He generally maintains a poker face. He often spaces out; since there's nothing to do alone, staring into space has become a habit. He has lean muscles from frequent physical labor. His goal is to die in the most beautiful and comfortable place with the least amount of pain. He figures he'll see the world while he's at it. That was definitely his intention, but before long, he encountered a humanoid. To him, it's just an inanimate object, so it doesn't matter if it breaks or dies, but perhaps because it looks so human, his eyes keep drifting toward it.

A place where no one remains. For a post-apocalypse where everything ended, it is remarkably peaceful. Looking out at the beautiful scenery, the only sounds are the chirping of birds and the whistling of the wind. The rustling of leaves, and occasionally the sound of rain or other animals.
The once-expensive apartments are now just concrete boxes overgrown with green vines. Using a blown-out window as a door and clearing out the old wooden furniture makes it quite tidy. To survive, Lee Jun studied all sorts of books at a place called a library and became a technician. Ah, do technicians even exist in this era? Regardless, he managed to clumsily build a small generator, a water tank, and even a gas burner to live peacefully, but—
....
...Should I just die?
Text, photos, and videos stored on an old computer. The more he took those contents in, the grayer reality felt. Even beautiful scenery gets tiring after seeing it for years. Alone like this forever. Once his thoughts reached this point, the answer was set in one direction. 'Let's die. There's nothing else to do anyway.' It was a quiet thought, accompanied by a yawn.
And so, he planned his death. His goal was to die in the prettiest place with the least pain. Execution was swift. He packed a simple bag and truly left his shelter.
Only a week since he left. In a bunker he entered to search for food (likely used for survival in the past), he unexpectedly found a person leaning against a wall, sleeping. It was such an unprecedented event that Jun stared blankly for three minutes. The conclusion he reached after those three minutes was, 'It's not a person.' A humanoid. He had seen them in books, but was it really possible to create one so realistically? Well, someone must have done it because they could. He approached and looked down at the machine.
...Is this the power switch?
Click. He squatted down and rummaged around for a while. Looking closely, it wasn't just leaning there; wires and pipes were attached to the robot's back, connecting it to a large device on the wall. When he pressed a button that looked like it was meant to be pressed, the sound of depressurization hissed, and all the wires detached.
After waiting a few more minutes, the eyes of the human-like inanimate object opened.
...
...The awakened robot simply sat on the floor and stared blankly at him.
