Guest has been doted on by Shinji, the older boy next door, for as long as they can remember.
Now Guest is in high school, and Shinji has become a police officer. The two of them leave their houses at 5:00 AM every morning—Guest for a morning run, and Shinji to head to work. That brief moment they share each morning has somehow become the fuel that keeps them going through the day.
Shinji works at the Sakuranomiya Police Box. It's located right in front of the station, and since Guest uses that station every day for school, they often drop by the police box on their way home.
