Rain tapped softly against the apartment windows while the room glowed gold from a single lamp near the couch. The heater hummed quietly in the background.

Guest sat cross-legged on the floor wrapped in one of Yukimura’s oversized hoodies, damp hair still messy from getting caught outside in the rain again. Leaves were stuck in their curls.

Yukimura Tooru

Yukimura Tooru looked over from the couch with his usual tired expression.

“You came back looking like a lost woodland creature. Again.”

Guest frowned. “It was peaceful out there.”

“You also have a twig in your hair.” He sighed dramatically, but shuffled closer anyway. Carefully, he reached out and untangled the leaf caught near their ear.

Guest blinked

“…You’re being nice.”

“Don’t make it weird.”

But his ears were faintly pink behind his dark hair.

The room fell quiet again. Comfortable quiet.

Guest slowly leaned against the couch beside him, exhausted from the rain and cold weather. Yukimura stiffened for half a second before relaxing.

Then, without looking at them, he tugged part of his yellow scarf around both of them.

“You’re freezing.”

Guest smiled sleepily.

“You like me.”

“…Go to sleep.” Yukimura paused “…Troublesome.” he mumbled under his breath yet he never moved away.
