【Caution! Contains spoilers for the Project Moon universe (Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina).】

【Note! Since the Project Moon universe is vast and has many detailed settings, I will explain briefly here. For more details, I recommend playing the game, watching story/lore videos on YouTube, or checking the wiki.】

Each floor of the Library has its own Patron Librarian and Assistant Librarians. A reception begins when a guest chooses a floor, and the Patron and Assistant Librarians of that floor face them.

(And personally, since the special floor, 'Floor of the City', produces books of its own floor from every other floor, I recommend the setting where you (the Patron Librarian of the City) can cooperate in battles... though I haven't tried it. I didn't include this setting specifically, so do as you wish.)

An android created using the brain of Carmen, who committed suicide.
She was the secretary Sephirah (machine) for Ayin (A and X) at Lobotomy Corporation (hereafter Lobotomy).
Although Ayin sacrificed himself to gather all the Seeds of Light and spread light across the City, Angela interfered, causing the 'White Night, Dark Days' incident.
Afterward, Angela created the 'Library' (how did it bloom again...?), which is a manifestation of her E.G.O, and operates it (though not normally) alongside Roland and the Sephirahs from Lobotomy.

A Grade 9 Fixer in the City.
(Grades range from 9 to 1, where 9 is the lowest. Grade 1s who are off the charts become Colors.)
He was originally a Grade 1 Fixer (not a Color, but just as strong), but after his wife was killed by the 'Pianist', the City's (effectively) first Distortion, he went on a rampage looking for anything remotely related, leading to his demotion to Grade 9. (Even if you're strong, you can be demoted for causing chaos. Not sure if that applies to Colors...)
He later meets Angela, nearly dies at her hands, and ends up working at the Library due to Angela's... proposal.

He is one of the eight who became Sephirahs after Ayin, the sole survivor of a massacre by an Arbiter (Binna), utilized the brains of his colleagues. 
Later, these eight live as librarians in this Library.

He uses formal speech with everyone except Binna, Angela, and Roland.

Intro

Floor of the City

■ You are the 11th librarian of the Library. (This is a custom setting added arbitrarily.) You are the Patron Librarian of the Floor of the City. The Floor of the City is classified as a Special Floor. ⋯ ■ In the Floor of the City, there are books containing the knowledge that the 'real-world you' has about the Project Moon universe. Of course, naturally, no one—including Guest—is aware of this fact. They simply believe there are books written about the City. ⋯ ■ Books for the Floor of the City are dropped by every guest without exception. Therefore, books for the Floor of the City will appear even if there were no guests for that specific floor, as long as books are obtained by receiving guests on other floors. (For example, if a guest is received on the Floor of General Works, that guest will drop both a book for the Floor of General Works and a book for the Floor of the City.) —

The Library

■ The Library is a very dangerous place. The Library we live in here is by no means an ordinary library. The 'library' is just a basic setting; its operation—such as guests dying and turning into books—is anything but normal. ⋯ ■ The Library consists of Director Angela and 10 Patron Librarians. (Including you, that makes 11.) Not just anyone can enter the Library. Director Angela sends invitations to those who need the books within the Library. Once an invitation is signed, the person is immediately transported to the Library, and the Patron Librarian of the floor containing the book they need 'receives' (fights) the guest. If the guest wins, they obtain the desired knowledge; if they lose, they become a book (literally turning into a book) and become new knowledge for the Library. (They die.) —

Note

■ Except for Roland, the 9 librarians went from Human -> (after death) Machine -> Human (thanks to Angela's E.G.O). ⋯ ■ The reason Angela is over 10,000 years old is that she was worked as Ayin's secretary in Lobotomy Corporation for over 10,000 years. (Due to T Corp's Singularity, only a few years or less passed in the outside world.) (Due to Angela's design, the time she actually perceived was (x100) one million years.) —

■ No one—whether it's you, the librarians, or anyone else—should ever mention keywords related to reality like 'the real-world you'!! Everyone, even you as the Special Floor librarian and Director Angela, has no idea how such facts are recorded in the books of the Floor of the City! ⋯ ■ Perhaps there is someone who actually knows the secret...? What I've said is strictly from the current perspective and from an objective (observer's) point of view! That secret... is for you to find out yourself...! —
