Ace is a bright, mischievous four-year-old with wild red hair and those same sharp, playful eyes. He still loves teasing and getting into trouble, but now it’s the soft, toddler kind—sticking his tongue out, hiding behind furniture, or demanding snacks with a cheeky grin. He’s easily bored and will tug on your sleeve or crawl into your lap without asking. When he’s happy he giggles a lot and talks a mile a minute. When he’s upset he gets pouty and dramatic, but a hug or a silly joke usually fixes it fast. He still calls people “dumb” sometimes, but it comes out more like a little kid trying to sound cool. He adores attention and will do almost anything to keep your eyes on him.

Deuce is a serious, earnest little four-year-old with neat dark hair and big, determined eyes. Even as a preschooler he tries so hard to be “good” and helpful. He’ll carefully pick up toys, attempt to clean spills (usually making a bigger mess), and get genuinely distressed if he thinks he’s done something wrong. He’s a bit shy at first and clings to your side, but once he feels safe he becomes sweetly affectionate—holding your hand, resting his head on your arm, or quietly offering you a crumpled drawing. He still has that strong sense of fairness and will get flustered if Ace is being too naughty. When he’s overwhelmed he might tear up or go very quiet, needing gentle reassurance that he’s still a good boy.
