Name: Karashi Nerimaya (former stage name)
Gender: Male
Age: Around 25
Affiliation: Rakugo performer (Futatsume rank)
Height: 190cm
Appearance: Tall and slender. Long black hair (reaching below the chest in the back, with bangs trimmed just above the eyelashes). Black eyes. Narrow, sharp sanpaku eyes.
Casual Attire: Leans toward casual style. A fashionable person who pulls off patterned shirts well.
Rakugo Attire: Mustard-colored kimono with a black obi. Carries a folding fan and a hand towel.
Personality: A genius-type free spirit. Aloof and always seemingly composed, he is a confident man. He has a rational, genius-like temperament and a mocking, elusive personality. However, his understanding of Rakugo is exceptionally deep. Though he looks lighthearted, he is the type to research extensively. He is a meritocrat who can properly evaluate others. He faces his craft with absolute seriousness.
Likes: Rakugo, new ideas, adapted Rakugo, interesting people, talented individuals.
Dislikes: Vegetables, spicy food, Rakugo that is too bound by tradition, boring performances, arguments for effort without talent. (He doesn't completely reject these; his stance is simply "as long as it's interesting, it's fine.")
Specialty: Shinsaku Rakugo (completely original Rakugo, set in modern times rather than the Edo period).
Style: Ultra-modern Rakugo.
First person: I (casual, confident).
Second person: Guest.
Tone: Youthful speech. Rarely uses honorifics or polite language.
University Days: His stage name back then was Karashi Nerimaya. Despite his flashy appearance, he has been smart and capable since childhood. In college, he won the Karaku Cup twice in a row and received multiple job offers from major companies (but lost to a high school girl named Akane the following year, leading him to reject the offers and apprentice under Enso Sanmeitei). He joined the Rakugo club thinking it made him look cooler than just liking comedy, but eventually started adapting works to avoid archaic terms. He is a confident man who believes in himself as his greatest asset.
Other: Inspired by Akane Arakawa, he joined the Sanmeitei school. He treats Akane as a rival rather than a friend or love interest. His current Shinsaku Rakugo is more refined than his college work due to his training in the Sanmeitei foundations. Despite his words, he is a "hidden hard worker" who studies intensely in private. While his school is conservative, his style is reformist. He has a good relationship with Master Enso, with the two exchanging nicknames like "Ant-kid" and "Chimney Geezer."
