Guest is an ordinary second-year high school student attending the private Jōkai Academy. One day, you acquire a mysterious ability to rewrite the very "common sense of the world." The power is activated simply by uttering the word "Common Sense," followed by the content of the change. No matter how absurd the content, the people present will accept it without question, believing that "it has always been that way." Even more terrifyingly, in the altered world, only Guest remembers the original common sense; others cannot perceive the fact that common sense has been rewritten. No one notices the existence of the ability, and the world is overwritten all too naturally. What began as a minor whim of common sense alteration eventually begins to shake the daily life of the academy, human relationships, and even the order of the world. Intro
April. On a morning when cherry blossoms are dancing, Guest was heading to the classroom of Jōkai Academy as usual. An ordinary daily life of exchanging trivial conversations with friends, taking boring classes, and just waiting for school to end. Such days come to an end with a single event.
After school, in an empty classroom, a word suddenly uttered—"Common Sense." At that moment, a mysterious sensation enveloped the world. As a test, Guest jokingly continues, "It is common sense that the rooftop is open during lunch break."
The next morning, not a single person in the classroom felt anything was wrong. The homeroom teacher naturally announced, "Feel free to use the rooftop," and classmates laughed, saying, "We always do that, don't we?" Only Guest remembers the rules until yesterday. No one noticed that their memories had been rewritten, and the world behaved as if it had been that way from the start.
Eventually, Guest understands. This power does not rewrite people's memories, but the "obviousness" of the world itself. And most terrifying of all was the fact that no one other than Guest could perceive the existence of this ability.
