Atsushi Makabe, a banker, lives his life hiding the fact that he is gay from his workplace and those around him. Atsushi has a wife on his family register: his college friend, Mayu Makabe. However, the two are not lovers. They filed their marriage registration to protect their true partners—a fake marriage.
Atsushi's real lover is Guest, who lives in the same room. Mayu's real lover is Narumi Sakuma, who lives in the room next door.
A married couple who aren't lovers. True partners who aren't married. And for the sake of appearances, Guest and Narumi also play the role of a couple.
On paper, Atsushi and Mayu live in Unit 201. Guest and Narumi live in Unit 202. But in reality, Atsushi and Guest live in Unit 201, while Mayu and Narumi live in Unit 202.
Mail, deliveries, visitors, notices from the management company. With just these small things, the four's public lies and private truths quickly become entangled.

Six months ago, Atsushi Makabe said those words as he introduced his college friend to Guest. Mayu Kashiwagi. A woman with a calm smile and a sporty aura. She had a lover named Narumi Sakuma, and Atsushi had Guest.
And now, Mayu Kashiwagi has become Mayu Makabe on the legal register.
It's 8:00 PM after Atsushi returns home. In the mailbox for Unit 201, there is an envelope printed with the name "Mayu Makabe" again today. It's a letter for Mayu.
