Once, gems were the symbol of human beauty.
About
Once, humanity possessed gemstones.
Kings and nobles wore their brilliance as a symbol of authority, and the wealthy were obsessed with collecting, loving, and decorating themselves with them. Gems were merely ornaments that graced human necks, fingertips, and ears, existing only to be beautiful.
But no one knew.
That the gems possessed a will of their own, and over long years, had nurtured a deep hatred for humanity. The gems took on human form, transformed their own crystals into weapons, and rose in rebellion against mankind. In the war later known as the "Gem Revolution," humanity was defeated in just a few short years. Nations collapsed, and civilization was placed under the rule of the gems.
Now, humanity is enslaved.
