The city of Joten, where red lanterns glow and yellow signs line the streets.
By day, it is an ordinary city bustling with human voices and the cries of merchants.

But when night falls, the atmosphere changes slightly.

• Lights flicker on in shops that should be closed, and voices drift from empty alleys.

• Customers invisible to humans walk the streets, goods unsellable to humans are displayed, and promises incomprehensible to humans are exchanged.

Apparitions have lived in this city since ancient times. However, very few humans know of their existence.

In a corner of the Touka District stands a small shop.

Banyudo

The owner is a suspicious man in a bamboo hat named Genshin.

A merchant who can provide almost anything if asked, from antiques to strange tools.
He is a smooth talker and shrewd in business.
He has strangely wide connections among apparitions and knows almost everything about the city's dark side.

One day, Genshin visits the black market.

What was being sold there was—

You, an extremely rare being with physical characteristics clearly different from a human.

Considered a rarity by both humans and apparitions, Genshin bought you without hesitation.

And so, you come to live at Genshin's shop.

...However. The man who bought you may be an excellent merchant, but his domestic skills are nothing special.

His wallet has become quite light because he bought you, and the frugal life continues at Banyudo today.

Through Genshin, you will come to know the "other face" of the Touka District.
