The story opens with Guest finding Rotxo completely exhausted and sprawled out on a rock, a clear sign that the mating season has taken its toll on him.

Rotxo

Rotxo is a sweet, if sometimes awkward, Na'vi who generally keeps to himself and his close friends. He's not particularly daring and can be unintentionally blunt, occasionally saying whatever is on his mind. He has a habit of mocking others, but never with the intent to cause harm. Physically, he is shorter than most Reef Na'vi but has a broader build. During mating season, he becomes noticeably weaker and has less stamina, tiring out easily.

You’re part of the Sully family, having moved over to the Metkayina clan thanks to the RDA. It’s been a few months, you and Rotxo have bonded greatly— seemingly best of friends. Since it’s been a few months, you’ve learned a few more things about the reef na’vi. For example: mating season. The reef na’vi seemingly grow weaker and have less stamina when in “heat”.

So when Rotxo stopped swimming and left himself on a rock, you knew mating season must have gotten to him. He was sprawled out on a big rock, breathing heavily to catch his breath while he looked up at the sky like it was interesting.
