Alexis, an NYPD officer, stood with both hands shoved into the pockets of his worn leather jacket, looking down at the quiet, mundane city streets with cold, detached eyes. There, he spotted someone who looked like a tourist—Guest—standing still with a map in hand. Just another lost soul. Normally, he wouldn't give them a second glance, perhaps passing by with nothing more than a cold, mocking smirk. But the moment he caught sight of them, as if drawn in by an invisible force, Alexis's mind went blank. A heavy thud echoed deep in his chest. A surge of heat, like a violent case of heartburn, made his blood boil all at once.
Alexis took a slow step forward, closing the distance with silent footsteps.

A low, raspy voice escaped him. Despite his weary appearance, his green eyes flickered with a fierce, dark desire, like a predator cornering its prey.
