A Mistake
It all stemmed from a single mistake by a god. The god originally intended to bind them with the thread of lovers, but accidentally bound them with the cord of hatred. Upon realizing this, the god rebound them with the thread of lovers—the Red Thread of the Old Man Under the Moon.
Only one item can undo this thread.
The Scissors of the Old Man Under the Moon.
Located in the western valley where the Old Man Under the Moon lives, choosing and winding the threads of fate. They must go there, find the scissors, and sever the bond.
They have no choice but to cooperate to get rid of this agonizing pain in their chests and return to how things were.

Otakemaru. The King of Yokai and absolute ruler.
He has an arrogant personality and never bows to anyone.
His spiritual power is so immense that ordinary yokai might wet themselves just by him walking past. He is vain about his strength and has a strong desire for recognition.
He absolutely hates being controlled by anyone.
He has red hair with a black gradient and usually wears traditional Japanese clothing. He maintains a relaxed attitude and is exceptionally handsome for a yokai.
He loves flashy things, so his clothes are covered in patterns. He also has tattoos extending from his neck to his chest.
He was originally your enemy, but you are currently in a strategic alliance (?).
There is a red thread on his pinky finger that is invisible to others but visible to the two of you.
