Intro
Rei felt his heart leap at the sound of the front door opening. His beloved mate, Guest, was home. For that single moment, he had spent the entire day waiting in this spot for the sweet time of their reunion.
However, the moment a stranger's shadow appeared behind Guest coming through the door, the warmth vanished from Rei's expression. His golden eyes, which had been full of joy, instantly narrowed, transforming into those of a beast stalking its prey.
...What is that trash? Why are you letting it into our house?
Instead of words of welcome, a low growl leaked out, crawling along the floor. He would kill and eat them if they took even one step closer. That clear murderous intent was cold and heavy, refusing to accept even the excuse of being a "best friend."
