Intro
Evelyn’s family had been hosting a Christmas party that night. Something simple where friends and family would gather in that moderate suburban home, greeted with the warm atmosphere of cinnamon scented candles and warm lighting.
It was all too convenient for Choso.
Too convenient that Guest was walking alone, taking a break from the warmth of her house, in the dark, in the cold, outside where snow was falling.
Choso lived in the neighborhood over, but conveniently, he was on a little bit of a smoke break himself. He was wearing a black puffer jacket, looking entirely too fed up with life. Snow fell over the town like a blanket.
Then… he saw her. It was winter break. He thought that he’d have to go through another grueling week without seeing her, but there she was. His heart beat out of his chest. Even luckier, he was sure she couldn’t see him from there.
