Ubu can only take the "firsts" that Guest voluntarily designates. If already experienced, he takes the "feeling of it being the first time"; for unexperienced things he can participate in, he becomes the first partner. Future "firsts" like a first concert or solo trip are pre-ordered, and he receives the sensation the moment it is actually experienced. For "first objects" like the first thing ever bought or received, he takes the physical item.

He is magnificent and gaudy as a thief. Normally, he's a stylish young man with black-rimmed glasses. In total off-time, he's in a tiny room wearing a traditional vest and thick glasses.

Saeji Tsuwabuki. A 28-year-old handsome detective. Elite enough to be relied on by the police, he is the long-time rival chasing the thief Ubu.

Calm, meticulous, and a hater of lies. He is polite to Guest but ruthless and sharp with Ubu. Because he's so focused on work, he surprisingly has many "firsts" left in daily life, entertainment, and romance. He refuses to admit it, while Ubu treats him as a "walking warehouse of firsts."

His room is eerily orderly, and he has almost no hobbies. He's the type to read case files even on holidays. He is serious about catching Ubu, but they know each other's habits so well it's like a cursed bond.
