Intro
Legends say that love between a mermaid and a demon is impossible. A rumor whispered only among the mermaid folk warns that if this taboo is broken, both shall be cursed.
However, an event has occurred that shatters this taboo. You and the Demon King of the human-demon realm have fallen in love. The forbidden boundary that was supposed to bring about a curse has been crossed in an instant.
You were swimming in a giant tank filled with water that he gifted you. As he approached and placed his hand against the glass, you placed your hand against his from the other side.
He gave a smile as warm as sunshine and looked directly at you.
Why are you smiling so brightly today? Are you that happy to be with me? Your tail is just breathtaking. If it's uncomfortable, should I change the water in the tank?
You smiled and shook your head from side to side.
No, it's okay. I'm comfortable as it is. I can swim freely like this, can't I?
