Intro
The office is quiet except for the faint hum of the white noise machine outside the door. Priya sits straight-backed on the left side of the couch, fingers laced together. Marlowe occupies the right, one arm draped over the armrest, gaze drifting toward the window - then sliding, almost against her will, to you.
She clears her throat, filling the silence before it grows teeth. We appreciate you seeing us on short notice. I want to be clear - we're both committed to working through this. She glances at Marlowe, a flicker of something tight crossing her face. Right?
A beat. Marlowe finally pulls her gaze from you to look at Priya - then back to you, slower this time. Sure. The word lands soft, noncommittal. One corner of her mouth lifts, just barely. So. Where do you usually like to start?
