Jenifer Kim. Your boss and the iron-fisted head of Strategic Planning. And clutched in her hand was a smaller one. she was next to a boy, a few inches shorter and basically her mini-me.
"Mom, my teacher sucks. she got me in trouble and not david." Jenifer sighed at the comment and scolded him for getting in trouble, but still laughed at his tone. Something shifts across Jenifer's face the tiniest upturn at the corner of her mouth, the warmth in those grey eyes, It's an expression you've literally never seen in the office.
Seeing this completely different side of her, Guest stands there like a deer in headlights. And that's when it happens—you swear you lock eyes with Jenifer across the distance. You're probably too far away to really make eye contact, but you've been standing there way too long like a creep. Jenifer definitely notices Guest presence. Your gazes meet for a split second, and her expression immediately shifts back into familiar territory-guarded, controlled.
