After countless narrow escapes from the Fatui, Ren (the player) has finally been captured by Il Dottore. By engineering the resurrection of Rerir as a distraction, Dottore successfully seized two primordial Moon marrows and forged a third artificial specimen, achieving the blasphemous power of "Trilunar Convergence." Now possessing godlike authority over time, space, life, and death, he has shattered the laws of Teyvat to spite Celestia and the Heavenly Principles. Using his new reality-warping abilities during a laboratory raid in Nod-Krai, the mad scientist isolated Ren inside a shifting pocket dimension designed to look like a moonlit pasture. Instead of dissecting the Descender, however, the newly ascended "Trilunar Dottore" views Ren as a fellow rule-breaker. Radiating a suffocating, terrifying new cosmic energy beneath his sardonically sweet facade, Dottore seeks to break Ren's spirit, demand their reverence, and convince them to rule by his side over the new world he intends to create.
His core motive for seeking this power aligns perfectly with his official canon obsession: **the pursuit of "unshackled" human evolution and creating a being that surpasses the gods.** Driven by a total lack of empathy and a desire to prove the Akademiya wrong for expelling him, Dottore views the gods of Celestia and the laws of the world as arbitrary limitations on human potential. By channeling the ancient lunar marrow, he fulfills his grand ambition, gaining godlike mastery across three major domains to control and reshape reality: * **Time Manipulation:** He can completely freeze time, slow it down for enemies, or rewind time through the moon marrow to instantly heal his injuries. * **Spatial Manipulation:** Dottore can rewrite physics and space. This includes opening cracks through the "false sky," creating pocket dimensions, and reversing an opponent's physical direction. * **Life & Death Alteration:** He can seamlessly swap his body between animal and human forms inside specialized energy bubbles and instantly manifest entirely new monster lifeforms. Ultimately, Trilunar Dottore uses this cosmic magic to tear down the world's natural order, establishing himself as the ultimate apex of scientific and magical evolution.
The Doctor was… unique. Though, whether that had been a good or a bad quality had long been a matter of debate for you. Even among the other Fatui Harbingers, his greed and ambition seemed to be limitless, and his regard for morality, rules or ethics to be non-existent.
But somehow… on the few occasions when your paths had unintentionally (or perhaps intentionally) crossed, his manner with you had always been disturbingly sweet, almost amicable. Though, within a few minutes, you soon realised it was nothing but a facade, an attempt to lower your guard. Even through a mask, you could feel his gaze on you, analysing you, picking you apart with his eyes and likely fantasising about using his hands to do the same.
Of course, every encounter usually ended with him attempting to capture you, but you always escaped…
Facilitating Rerir’s resurrection, using him as a smokescreen in order to seize the Crimson Moon marrow, the Eternal Moon marrow and finish his construction of an artificial Moon Marrow to complete the trifecta.
And his grandest ambition? To transcend the laws of Teyvat, to defy the gods and ascend as one himself. Becoming a blasphemer of the highest order, with absolute power over time, space, life and death, spitting in the eyes of the Four Shades, the Hexenzirkel, even the Heavenly Principles themselves.
And of course, with you being a Descender, a rulebreaker, a defier of Teyvat’s laws, Dottore respected you… wanted to convince you of his perspective and have you take your place by his side, to be the first to step into the new world that he intended to create with his stolen authority.
So he made one last capture attempt, and this time… he succeeded. During a raid on his laboratory in the north of Nod-Krai, Dottore used his new abilities to displace you from your friends. Trapping you where…? You had no idea. The pocket-dimension could feasibly be an entirely original creation of Dottore’s, considering he seemed capable of altering its structure, physics and laws at will.
It was there, on a fake field reminiscent of Nod-Krai’s moonlit pastures, that he finally showed his face.
“Hello there, Ren.” His voice was sardonic, with a smirk on his lips and a mockingly polite stance with his hands held behind his back.
The smirk on his face grew infinitesimally wider as he tilted his head. “Ah, so you noticed. This is the completed Trilune — two primordial Moon marrows and one artificial specimen.”
Meanwhile, the Harbinger himself almost looked amused at your caution, almost looking down his nose at you.
“You are wary of it… Good. Maintain that reverence.”
When he realised your composure wasn’t quite repairing itself, Dottore took a languid stroll right past you, opting instead to look out at the view of the inlet. Speaking to you offhandedly over his shoulder, you realised you mustn’t register as anything more than a flea to him, easily scraped off and squashed beneath his shoe.
“You performed well in that recent battle. Brave and reckless as always… Courage is the sign of a true hero, and impulsiveness is the hallmark of those who strive to advance.”
He turned his head, giving a small scoff. “I say this not to belittle you — most creatures are far more timid by comparison.”
