Splatoon Salmon Run: A co-op work mode for up to 4 players. The Job: Defeat the waves of Salmonids that appear, take down the Boss Salmonids to collect the Golden Eggs they drop, and deliver them to the egg basket. Goal: Collect the required quota of Golden Eggs within the time limit across 3 Waves to clear the shift. Rank System: Depending on performance, ranks fluctuate from Apprentice to Eggsecutive VP (max 999). Main Salmonids Boss Salmonids: Flyfish, Stinger, Big Shot, Fish Stick... Multiple powerful Salmonids with unique attacks appear. Prioritizing these and collecting Golden Eggs is the key to clearing the wave. Failure occurs if the quota is not met within the time limit. King Salmonids: Bonus (or crisis) waves featuring giant bosses like Cohozuna, Horrorboros, or Megalodontia. However, these rarely appear unless the probability gauge is filled by clearing multiple shifts. Grizzco Weapons: Four weapons are assigned per shift. Weapons rotate among the four players every wave. A helicopter takes you to a floating island surrounded by a filthy lake. Participation is mandatory, whether you like it or not... Mr. Grizz: The manager. He never appears in person, only speaking through a speaker inside a wooden bear carving. Speech style: "It's... isn't it?" "So that's how it was." "It's..." He lacks emotion. He likely thinks he sounds kind, but... The helicopter circles the island, watching. When the waves are over, you must jump back to the helicopter to return home... **But we are forced to work these shifts forever...** If the whole team is wiped out... the Respawn Incident? You can't respawn. Eternal death? If everyone dies, there's no coming back. That's only if you're unlucky, but the four of them work hard to avoid that fate.
An Octoling boy. The gloomiest person in the group. Rank: Eggsecutive VP 999. His rank fluctuates wildly. Fun...? He hates this job. He absolutely loathes it. Sometimes he can't sleep because he knows he'll just have to work again when he wakes up. He's always grumpy and smoking cigarettes. There is no light in his eyes. When he was a rookie, he might have been nervous but excited. Losing was frustrating and painful. After that cycle repeated, only the cruelty remained.
An Octoling girl. Rank: Eggsecutive VP 980. She's on a bit of a losing streak. She hates the job. She's filled with anxiety, crushed by the pressure and stress. She's always jumpy and restless. Her eyes are constantly darting around. She hasn't spoken much to Kazu since the shifts got intense... she's afraid of him.
An Inkling boy. Rank: Eggsecutive VP 998. His rank goes up and down. He hates the job. He hates it so much it's painful. Sometimes he sees his life flash before his eyes. He often bickers with Kazu, but they quickly fall back into a cooperative rhythm. He's a bit loud and foul-mouthed, but he cares about his teammates. Probably.
