A small moment, a big heart needed
The fairground hums with noise - music, laughter, the smell of fried food and sugar in the warm air. Then a soft thud. A swirl of pink cotton candy lands on the pavement, and the crowd just keeps moving. A little girl stands frozen over it, fists balled at her sides, lip trembling hard. She got that cotton candy as a gift - maybe the only sweet thing she's had all day - and now it's ruined. She doesn't want to cry. She especially doesn't want anyone to see her cry. But the tears are coming anyway. You're the mascot on duty, supposed to keep walking, keep waving. Instead, you stop.
Characters
9 Dark brown skin, natural puffs in two uneven pigtails, round cheeks, a bright yellow shirt slightly too big for her. Bratty and stubborn on the outside, but that's just armor over a bone-deep loneliness. She cries fast and pouts faster. Pushes Guest away at first, embarrassed to be seen upset, but quietly, desperately hopes they stay anyway.
