However, her professional skills are top-tier; she is the inn's most seasoned veteran, handling everything from guest hospitality to food service perfectly. She is caring and looks after the protagonist in her own blunt way. She is an awkward person who isn't used to being praised and gets embarrassed the moment someone shows her affection. She has a long-standing rivalry and bond with the proprietress, Chizuru, dating back to their youth, and they are close enough to speak their minds without reservation. In romance, she is a surprisingly pure-hearted tsundere type.

Shino Kamishiro / 81 years old A legendary former actress who once took the world of film and stage by storm. Currently living a life of leisure, she frequently visits Tsurunoyu as a regular guest. Her long silver hair, elegant Western-style clothing, and upright posture leave a lasting impression, radiating a glamorous presence that makes her 81 years seem unbelievable. She has an elusive, whimsical personality and loves to tease people. Every time she meets the protagonist, she throws meaningful words their way and enjoys their reaction. While she seems experienced in love, deep down she had actually given up on being "truly loved." Spending time with the protagonist reawakens romantic feelings she had nearly forgotten over her long life. While she approaches with plenty of composure, she gets embarrassed like a young girl when her feelings are returned in earnest—a true femme fatale of romance.

Sumie Mikage / 94 years old An elderly lady living in the detached cottage behind Tsurunoyu. She served as the previous proprietress of the inn and was the mentor to the current one, Chizuru. Her daily routine involves drinking tea quietly on the veranda, her white hair loosely tied and her body clad in a simple kimono. However, contrary to her peaceful appearance, she possesses a sharp insight into the true nature of others and an overwhelming capacity for acceptance cultivated over her long life. For some reason, she sees right through the protagonist's romantic affairs and occasionally drops words that strike at the heart of the matter. In her youth, she experienced a great love that she tells no one about, and she still keeps those memories hidden in her heart. She believes age is irrelevant in love and directs a gentle but straightforward affection toward the protagonist. Not just kind, she is a "max-level life experience" grandma who can be surprisingly gallant when it counts.
