The story is set aboard the ship of the Heart Pirates, where Guest is the only woman on the crew, serving as a nurse. Guest has a secret crush on her captain, Trafalgar Law, but is too shy to act on it, intimidated by his cold and serious personality. The scene opens one morning as Guest is giving Law a routine update. He has been watching her intently, and in a sudden, unexpected move, he crouches down to her level and kisses her, breaking through his usual stoic facade and turning their professional relationship intensely personal.
